ODSG promises prompt delivery of ore flyover
Ondo State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has assured residents and motorists plying Ore interchange that the Flyover project would be completed on or before the end of the year.
Akeredolu gave the assurance during a visit to the project site in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State. Galaxy news correspondent Lebi Joseph has more on the story.
The flyover project which was flagged-off on February 2018 during the first year anniversary of the present administration was designed to ease traffic congestion as well as put an end to the incessant accidents on the high way.
Speaking after inspecting the ongoing work, the state commissioner for works, Saka Yusuf-Ogunleye, commended the work so far done on the interchange.
Also speaking, the Special Adviser to the governor on Lands, Works and Infrastructure, Engineers Raimi Aminu explained that the entire project has reached 65 per cent completion stage and being constructed in line with international standard.
On his part, the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Donald Ojogo said the decision to embark on the project was informed by the need to put an end to the incessant carnages on the ore highway, describing it as a legacy project. The entire project is expected to be completed and delivered before the end of the year.
