Okowa Describes Corona Virus as Threat to Nigeria Economy
Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has described the outbreak of the pandemic coronavirus disease as a huge threat to the Nigerian economy and the world at large.
The Governor made the disclosure in Asaba the Delta state capital during his quarterly media briefing with practicing journalists in the state.
Addressing newsmen, Governor Okowa stressed that budget implementation in the country and oil benchmark has dropped as a result of the threat posed by coronavirus.
On the killings by herdsmen in the Delta community of Uhweru, the Governor said the state is doing its best as several suspects have been arrested.
In attendance were selected media practitioners from the twenty-five local government areas of the state, as well as members of the state executive council.
