Oyo CP orders 24-hour surveillance
The Commissioner of Police in Oyo state, Abiodun Odude has ordered 24-hours surveillance across Ibadan following last Monday's clash between two rival groups.
Galaxy News learnt that more suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident while officers from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the command have commenced screening of those arrested so far.
The Public Relations Officer of the State Police Command, Abiodun Ajisebutu said the command would ensure that peace reigns in Ibadan.
He enjoined residents of the state to be calm noting that more policemen have been deployed across the state to curtail breakdown of law and order.
Meanwhile, the State Police Command confirmed the death of one person which occured during clash.
