Oyo Govt Reaffirm Commitment To Quality Nursing Education.
Oyo State Government has reaffirmed commitment to encourage quality nursing education in every institution of Nursing across the state.
Governor Seyi Makinde reaffirmed this while receiving visiting Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria accreditation team at the conference room, Ministry of Justice, Secretariat, Ibadan.
Governor Makinde who was represented by his deputy, Barrister Adebayo Lawal, admitted that nursing, as a profession has gained global attraction and assured that his administration would not only provide more facilities, resources and manpower to enhance quality of nursing education but also see to the implementation of law for establishment of the College of Nursing Sciences for multiple campuses in the state.
Earlier speaking Chief Registrar, Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, Dr. Farouk Abubakar said their visit was to ensure standard at all levels with production of competent and qualified nurses.
The accreditation team inspected School of Nursing, Ẹlẹ́yẹlé and other school of nursing and midwifery campuses in Kishi and Oyo town.
