Police arraign ‘Small Doctor’
The Lagos state Police command has arraigned musician Adekunle Temitope, popularly known by his stage name as Small Doctor, for unlawful possession of firearms.
The popular artiste was arraigned before an Ebute Meta Magistrate’s court on Tuesday, December 4, on a two-count charge bothering on unlawful possession of firearms and threatening violence.
It would be recalled that the suspect was paraded at the Police headquarters in Ikeja, the Lagos state capital after he was arrested around the Oshodi axis of the state on Monday, December 3.
He was alleged to have threatened to open fire on a Police officer before he was arrested.
The state Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, said Small Doctor had, in time past, fired shots and injured four people.
He noted that the injured persons were admitted to a hospital and vowed that the artiste would be made to face the law.
The Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Chike Oti, as of 2.30pm, said Small Doctor’s arraignment for unlawful possession of firearms and threatening violence was ongoing.
