Authorities of the Imo state police command said it has rescued two kidnapped victims and arrested members of a deadly kidnap syndicate in connection to the crime.

The command made this known through her public relations officer SP Olando Ikeokwu while parading the suspects at the police headquarters in Owerri the state capital.

According to Ikeoku, the commissioner of police in the state CP Nasiru Muhammed upon his arrival had directed that all tactical units and divisions leave up to expectations, hence the successes being witnessed. 

One of the victims who is a legal practitioner narrated his ordeal in the hands of the kidnappers.

The command also made arrests of other suspects in connection with armed robbery and unlawful possession of firearms, as the suspects narrated their involvement.
