President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed condolence to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar over the death of a close aide, Alhaji Umar Pariya.

In his reaction to the sad event, President Buhari said he received the news of the death of Atiku close aide, Alhaji Pariya, with a heavy heart.

A statement signed by the senior adviser to the president on media and publicity, Femi Adesina, quoted the president as saying that it is very touching to lose such a personal aide of many years.

It said the president prayed that Allah grants the former vice-president the strength to bear the irreparable loss.

The president also prayed that Allah forgives Pariya’s shortcomings and reward his good deeds in the hereafter.
