INEC to reduce paper work in electoral process
Following some operational challenges recorded during the last general elections, the Independent National Electoral Commission is considering cutting down number of paper process ahead of 2023 general elections.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner in Oyo State, Barrister Mutiu Agbpke who dropped the hint during an interview with Correspondent Kunle Ojo disclosed that the Commission is seriously thinking of better options to replace the heavy paperwork, especially during elections.
He maintained that the review of the last general elections has been revealing stressing that the Commission will continue to improve on the electoral process while calling on all Nigerians and relevant stakeholders to continue to support the Commission.
On some of the petitions against the elections held in Oyo State, the Resident Electoral Commissioner says the Commission will continue to defend the results adding that some of the petitions have been withdrawn.
