FG Committed to Data Protection, Management, NDPC

The Federal government of Nigeria has reiterate it's commitment towards a robust data protection system that will foster trust between individuals and organizations to promote responsible data handling practices and safeguard the fundamental rights to privacy in the digital space.

Dr. Vincent Olatunji, the National Data Protection Commissioner, represented by Abiola Jide-Abe, highlighted this goal at a digital literacy and data protection training campaign in Ibadan 

His emphasis that data protection is crucial, especially considering the growing demand for data management in Africa, while NDPC is also intensifying efforts to raise awareness about data privacy, ensuring citizens understand its importance in the increasingly digitized world.

In his own remarks the chairman house committee on Digital, Information Communication Technology and Cyber security Honourable Adedeji Olajide stress that the ICT training will further equip youth in protecting their data before falling prey to online scammers.

The program which has in attendance over one thousand youth across the state will further help participant in having adequate knowledge of data protection.
