Ize-Iyamu, others dump PDP in Edo state
Some members of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Edo state led by its former governorship candidate Pastor Osagie Ize- Iyamu, have announced their resignation from the party and joined the All Progressives Congress, APC in the state.
Speaking at a gathering in Benin city, pastor Osagie Ize- Iyamu said over 3000 of his followers and supporters from the three senatorial district of the state have moved to APC in the interest of the people of the state
According to him, the PDP does not have what it takes to provide political leadership for the people of the state.
Other top members who gave reasons for their defection, said they had an intensive deliberation on the political future and demise of internal democracy in PDP, adding that the party has lost its political directions.
