The list of Governorship Aspirants under the platform of the All Progressive Congress in Oyo State increased on Thursday as the former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Adebayo Adelabu joined the race. The declaration which was held at the former Secretariat of the party was attended by notable leaders and members of the party across the state.

Adelabu, who was defeated by Governor Seyi Makinde of the Peoples Democratic Party in 2019, said the incumbent Governor had failed woefully and would be removed by the All Progressives Congress which he would represent at the 2023 governorship poll.

He said Makinde was helped by some APC leaders who were not happy with late Governor Abiola Ajimobi adding that the hatred for Ajimobi was transferred to him and he suffered defeat because of the coalition they formed.

He, however, said those prominent leaders had returned to  APC and they were with him now. Adelabu said he had come this time to remove Seyi Makinde from the government and that he would correct all the mistakes made by the present administration.
