Operatives of the Rivers state police command have arrested a suspected notorious cultist and armed robbery suspect while also recovering his operational weapons.

The suspect who is said to be the leader of a cult gang, had been terrorizing farm lands in Elele and Etchie local government area of Rivers state where he caused panic and tension.

The suspect was said to have confessed ownership of one automatic pump action gun and two live cartridges which are in the custody of the police.

Police Spokesperson Grace Iringe-koko who issued a statement regarding the arrest, said investigation is ongoing with effort to arrest other members of the gang.
