Police arrests notorious church burgling syndicate in Delta
The police in Delta says it has arrested two suspects notorious for breaking into churches, and removing musical instruments.
The police in a statement by its spokesperson Edafe Bright made available to newsmen, said the suspects were arrested in separate areas of Warri after carting away twenty loud speakers, fifteen mixers and amplifiers,as well as guitars and microphones belonging to the Redeemed christian church of God.
According to the police, several clergymen within Warri and Orerokpe have reported missing musical instruments, which led to the search of the suspects home where the items were recovered.
The suspects were said to have been traced through their Facebook account where they advertised the stolen instruments for sale.
The Delta police commissioner Wale Abass, called on churches to intensify security around their premises, while calling on them to report missing instruments to the nearest police station.
