Public funds must be spent judiciously...Buhari
The president gave the assurance at the presidential Villa, during a Christmas homage paid on him by members of the FCT community.
He decried infrastructural deficit caused by the maladministration of previous governments saying his administration will strive to improve social amenities in the country. They had come to pay homage to the president as part of the yearly ritual.
President Muhammadu Buhari who received the visitor traced performance of the economy lamenting that inspire huge sums earned by the country between 1999 and twenty fifteen, not enough reflected on Nigeria and Nigerians.
He recalled his campaign promises, which is to cater for the lots of the common, promising judicious spending of public funds for better development.
The president’s position was corroborated by FCT minister who hailed the Buhari administration for focused leadership.
The minister was interested in more development in FCT, especially now that he is reappointed He, however, solicited support from citizens.
Intercessory prayers were made by the catholic archbishop of Abuja, Ignatius Kaigama and the Imam of the National Mosque Mohammed Kabir.
Christmas cards were also presented to the president by the minister of FCT and the chaplain of the Aso Villa, Seyi Malomo.
