Following the return of men of the Nigeria Police Force to their duty posts in  Anambra State, residents have expressed joy at the sight of policemen across major streets and flashpoints in the State.

Speaking to journalists at the Delta/Anambra border town of Onitsha, some residents who hailed the decision of the Police to return to work, said their presence will go a long way to curb criminal activities which have been on the increase since the protest. 

They called on the police and residents in the State to imbibe the lessons learnt from the protest with a view to avoiding a recurrence.

Although the presence of policemen is still not felt in major Delta roads, one would expect them to return soon as a result of the Delta state Governor appeal.
