Three mobile policemen have been killed by unidentified gunmen in Ughelli North local government area of Delta state, with their riffles taken away.

The incident occurred at a fasts food outlet located along the East-West road.

The attack is coming days after a new Divisional Police Officer, DPO, Mr. Benjamin Igometi took over the helm's of affairs at the Ughelli 'A' division with a charge on him to curb the spate of insecurity in Ughelli.

When contacted, the state police spokesperson Onome Onowakpoyeya promised to get back to our correspondent but failed to respond three hours before filing this report.
