Amnesty time frame for looters
Following the sponsor of a bill seeking amnesty for looters by a Federal lawmaker, Linus Okorie, The Nigeria Bar Association Chairman, Abeokuta branch, Barr. Ibrahim Atanda has also added his voice on the bill that has continued elicit reactions.
Atanda described the move as one that should be limited within a timeframe of three months for recovery.
Atanda further says that there are funds the Federal government is not aware of, stressing that the amnesty for looters should be shortlived in a bid to discourage looting of public funds.
The legal practitioner is of the view that the law would address a particular situation saying that once looted funds are recovered, the law should seize to exist.
