In a statement by the state police command spokesperson Tochukwu Ikenga made available to our correspondent, said the destruction of the camps is to aid manhunt for gunmen who attacked two police stations at Awgbu, in Orumba North local government area of Anambra state.

 

Six Improvised Explosive Device already primed for attacks and two walkie talkies were said to have been recovered from the camps.

 

The raid on the forests according to the police is still ongoing , with a view to eliminating the terrorists, rescuing abducted victims, recover firearms and stolen vehicles in their possession.
